I was a sedimentary rock,and here is how I came to be a metamorphic rock.
I was an igneous rock but then I was eroded by a river.I was transported through the entire river and was deposited.Then,I fell in the sea where all the mud came.I was compressed and compacted.This pressure from the seabed and mud turned me into a sedimentary rocks.The process is sedimentation.
The pressure from the seabed and mud turned me into a sedimentary.This is called sedimentation.
In order to become a metamorphic rock,I will need to mix with an Igneous rock,but in order to do that,I will need heat from the core,and pressure from all the layers.
Now,with heat coming from the core,and pressure from the layers,I will be able to mix with that rock.It will take a million years.This is called metamorphism.
Finally,the last part of the rock cycle.I am an Igneous rock.When there is pressure in the core,a volcano erupts.This volcano erupts lava which is cooled by rivers and wind.Once the lava has been cooled,I become an Igneous rock.This last process is called solidification.
