- The remilitarization changed thebalance of power in Europe fromFrance and its allies towards Germanyby allowing Germany to pursue apolicy of aggression in Western Europethat had been blocked by thedemilitarized status of the Rhineland.
- Rhineland was one of the most industrialy developed regions in Germany. Because of Great Depression, reparations and other economic hardship this region was necessaryfor Hitler. It also gave Germany a geopolitical advantage in Europe.
- We need to take Rhineland back if we want to improve our position in Europe.
- The remilitarisationof the Rhinelandbegan on 8 March 1936, whenGerman military forces entered theRhineland, which directly contravenedthe Treaty of Versailles and theLocarno Treaties. League of Nations was completelyineffectiveNeither France norBritain was prepared for a militaryresponse, so they did not act.
- Give our lands back!
- Appeasementallowed Hitler to believe that he could get away with anything, encouraging Hitler to take the risks that led to World War Two. This includes reoccupationof Rhineland. He needed it for the future development of Germany and knew that LON was not a working mechanism.
- We can just take whatever we want! Nobody will stop us!
