- But even after know that Herbert decided to suggest that we wish for 200 pounds just to see if it was real or a lie

- the day after they got the news that Herbert died in a machinery accident and in consideration for the sons services the will give them 200 pounds
- Resolution
- They now know that the monkey paw is real so Mrs. White begs Mr. White to use the monkey paw to bring back Herbert back to life Mr. White agrees
- After they wish Herbert back to live there is knocking at the door but knocking to banging so Mrs. white tries to get the door open but she is to unlock it so she gets a chair while Mr. white runs to get monkey paw.
- just as the door opens Mr. white wishes the third wish and when Mrs. white opens the door she see nothing as if Herbert or the thing there just disappeared.
