- Hello, i'm a tree, and i grow by a process called photosynthesis. All plants do this. But, animals have to get food from plants, and other animals.
- And the difference between animals and plants is that plants are called autotrophs, and animals are called heterotrophs.
- First, I take in 2 raw materials, water and CO₂, and how i get these 2 materials is that i get water from the soil which goes to my roots, and i take CO₂ from animals and atmosphere.
- Then my chloroplast takes in the sunlight and mixes the CO₂,water, and solar energy to make a chemical reaction, this makes a product called glucose.
- Also, oxygen is a waste product for me, so I get rid of it through my stomatas too.
- And the reason my leaves are green is because my chlorophyll absorbs every color except green.
