- Equality 7-2521 goes to the World Council to present his discovery thinking that they will forgive him for all the laws he has broken and will relocate him to the House of the Scholars. However, the council finds his act selfish and are even more furious with him. They say that he should be executed because of his actions. Equality runs away into the uncharted forest a little discouraged.
- We are one..alone...and only...and we love who are one...alone...and only(pg 87)
- Once Equality enters the forest he starts to do tasks that he wouldn't do himself. He starts to feel a sense of pride and satisfaction in doing these tasks. For example, he hunts and cooks his own food. This is when he starts to realize there is nothing wrong with doing things on his own.

- When in the Uncharted Forest, Equality sees that the Golden One has followed him. She tells him that she compares him to the greatest things she's seen. They spend days with each other and develop strong feelings they've never felt before.
- How come you to be in the forest?(pg 81)
- After finding a home and starting to settle in, Equality and the Golden one start to live a normal life. In the house, they discover many colors and ways of living that were used from the Unmentionable Times. The Golden one starts to confess her love for Equality but is struggling to find the words to say it. She does not want to say we because she knows it is just her, one person, that loves him.
- Equality starts reading the books that were left in the house and finds the words he has been searching for. I. The word that represents his own brain, own soul, own thoughts. I.
