- How do plants create food and energy?
- Photosynthesis is the process plants use to make food, they use carbon dioxide and water that converts into glucose and oxygen!!
- I convert light energy to chemical energy, this process takes place in my chloroplast!
- Cellular Respiration is the processes plants use to get energy from food right?
- Yes!! There are two forms, Aerobic and anaerobic. Aerobic is the process with oxygen and anaerobic is the opposite. ATP energy is produced too!!
- In anaerobic conditions a process called fermentation happens and this takes place in my microcardia! It is a breakdown of a substance by a bacteria, isn't that cool?!
- Tell me about passive and active transport!!
- There are three types of active transport!! Endocytosis is when a cell takes in particles by engulfing them and Exocytosis is when the cell gets rid of particle by enclosing them in a vesicle
- Passive transport has something called diffusion and osmosis. Diffusion is movement of molecules from an area of high concentration to low concentration while osmosis is the opposite, low to high
