- Hi! I'm a Homo Sapien. We live in caves or tent like structures, like the one behind me.
- We live in temporary shelters because we are always on the move to find new food.
- Hi! I'm a modern human. And I live in one permanent structure.
- It's nice to not have to constantly be on the move. And be safe and secure in one permanent structure.
- Our homes are made from mud bricks and tree branches and stones.
- Our home gives us protection from harsh weather and wild animals. It also allows us to form larger communities and makes life very comfortable.
- Hunting and gathering didn't provide a very stable or dependable food supply.
- We are hunters and gatherers.
- We wander from place to place, looking for plants and animals to gather for food.
- We now rely on farming for our food.
- We also settle down in one place to live instead of roaming around in search of things to eat.
- Over time, people discovered they didn't have to depend on hunting and gathering. Instead of gathering wild plants, they could plant seeds and harvest crops.
- We raise sheep, goats and cattle for meat. We also use our mules to carry heavy loads and pull plows.
