- Stanley Yelnats was walking in his town when all of a sudden shoes had hit the top of his head, and those shoes were the shoes of the famous clyde linginstine that plays on famous baseball team.
- SInce no one had proof at the court trial for stealing clyde lingingstine shoes Stanley was sent to camp Green Lake for "stealing" a famous pair of baseball cleats from a homeless center.
- As Stanley started his journey at camp Green Lake hois first hole was exhausting he was sore, tired, and very very thirsty
- When Zero had ran out of camp Green Lake Stanley had a feeling to go after Zero, and that is what he exactly did but he did it with the canteen truck, but little did he know there still were many holes on the lake and ran right into one but that didn't stop Stanley, Stanley went on foot to find Zero.
- Later on Stanley and Zero went back to camp to go to the hole were Stanley had found the gold tube and to their surprise they found a metal brief case with a leather handle and all of a sudden the Warden, Mr. Sir, and Mr, Pendanski had flashlights on their faces and also Stanley didn't realize that he had aslo stepped on the yellow spotted lizards nest.
- At the end of the story Stanley's lawyers came in and took him the briefcase and Zero with them so Stanley could be reunited with his parents and Zero would be apart of their Yelnats family
