Don't you think it's time to do what's morally right and put an end to slavery?
Nope! Slavery has been around forever; its practically tradition!
SOCIAL
An American Officer arrests a runaway slave due to the Compromise of 1850 and the Fugitive Slave Act.
But how? I am in New York; slavery is banned here!
The Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 says any runaway slaves will be arrested and returned to their master!
You are under arrest!
POLITICAL
Two plantation workers discuss the increase of slaves due to the cotton gin.
You'd think with the development of the cotton gin, the need for slaves would be lessened!
I know. Thousands more slaves have been smuggled to help process the cotton!
ECONOMICS
An American officer forces a Native American from her home so the Americans can have the land.
This has been our land for generations! Why do we have to leave?
American settlers need this land for its rich soil and farming opportunities.
GEOGRAPHY
Two women settled on the Nebraska-Kansas territory argue about the right to own slaves.
This territory was not a state during the Missouri Compromise. Slavery should be legal!
Nebraska-Kansas territory is in the north! Slaves should be free!
POLITICAL
A priest and a southern man discuss the justification of slavery in the christian religion.
Slavery is justified in the bible, owning slaves is apart of our religion!
Our government should not be based off of one group of people's beliefs!
