In may 20 1521 St Ignatius was unfortunately struck by a cannon ball while leading the charge in battle. It struck him in the leg and for a very long time he was immobile. He was wounded on the ground and because of his courage the French soldiers offered to carry him back to the castle of Loyola to heal. He took the offer and so he went back to Loyola.

St Ignatius' healing took very long because medicine was not very advanced in his time. He had to find ways to entertain himself and he only had two books in his house. These both were about Catholicism and he read both. After that he transitioned to Catholicism and he started his journey including confessing his sins, returning his sword and receiving the clothes of a beggar.

After transitioning to Christianity he realised that god was in everything after sitting down by a creek and he then went to create to France where he met Francis Xavier, Peter Faber and many other people. He also created the jesuit society with Francis and Peter. He also went to Jerusalem to kiss the ground where god walked. He lived a great life and unfortunately died in 1556.
