- One day, a group of students went to the beach to film a travel vlog for one of their subjects.
- We should start vlogging now!
- Come on, Let's check the waves out!
- Unfortunately, they were unable to continue filming due to the garbage that had been floating near the shore. They decided to postpone vlogging because the surroundings didn't appear to be worth showing the public.
- Oh no. We won't be able to vlog with the ocean's condition.
- The ocean really is polluted nowadays.
- I believe we can't feature this in our travel vlog yet unless we come up of solutions to clean the ocean.
- They just sat on the sand and talked. During their conversation, Julia asked whether they were aware of any solutions to lessen water pollution.
- Hmm. Does anyone here have any suggestions for reducing or eliminating water pollution?
- Wow! Tell us more about it!
- John spoke up and stated that he had been working on a device that could pick up garbage waste. He then began to describe the device to his friends and explain what it does.
- Actually, I am already working on a device that would help us pick up waste from bodies of water. I thought of this idea after seeing a very polluted creek. I wanted to help lessen pollution.
- He compared it to a boat with a giant claw that picks up trash once it is detected by the infrared sensor attached to the boat. It then transfers the trash onto the boat's bin and delivers it to the recycling station when it is finished for the day. The classmates were blown away by John's invention and persuaded him to present it to their local government.
- It's just a boat with an infrared sensor that could detect trash that is floating on water. Once it is detected, the boat will go to that area and collect trash using a really large claw. Afterwards, the trash will be delivered to a recycling facility.
- That's such a great idea! You should present it to our local government so that they could let your device be tested
- Following his presentation, John's invention was given permission to sail while cleaning the ocean. His invention is now helping to clean up the ocean and other bodies of water in his hometown.
- Thanks to all of you for supporting my invention! Now, we are helping clean our community.
