  • So basically, conduction is heat moving by touch.Conduction is when heat moves from one object to another by touching. It happens in solids, like metal, where the heat can travel easily. An example of this is if you leave a metal spoon in a hot bowl of soup, the spoon gets hot too. That’s because the heat from the soup moves through the spoon — that’s conduction! So basically, conduction is heat moving by touch.
  • Ohh, I get it now!!!!

  • Convection is when heat moves through liquids or gases, like water or air. The warm parts rise, and the cooler parts sink, making a loop. An example is as if when you boil water in a pot, the water at the bottom gets hot first. That hot water rises, and the cooler water goes down to get heated. This keeps happening — that’s convection! So, convection is how heat moves around in things like soup, the ocean, or even the air!
  • Oh okay! This makes so much sense!!

  • Radiation is when heat travels through the air or space without needing to touch anything. It moves in waves, like sunlight. An example is as if when you stand in the sun, you feel warm even though you're not touching the sun. That’s because the heat from the sun travels through space and warms you — that’s radiation! So, radiation is heat that moves through the air, like from the sun, a campfire, or even a microwave!
  • Okay! That makes all the sense in the world.
