- Jay is a psychology masters grad student who feels overwhelmed and is looking for a place on campus for advice about his academic and career interests.
- Diana is a peer mentor at a on campus hub where grad students can seek advice and info from mentors.
- Alexa is the student advisor at the hub and helps graduate students find and meet with their peer mentors.

- jay is a freshman grad student at UK and he feels overwhelmed and in need of advice about his career. Jay isn't sure if the major he has chosen is the career he really wants to pursue.

- while browsing the grad student portal on his computer jay finds that there is a program on campus which allows grad students to match and meet with peer mentors for advice on their career. So Jay signs up and creates a profile with his interests and goals.

- Jay meets up with Alexa the student advisor of the program in her office who helps him match and connect with his peer mentor so they can have a meeting.

- Jay has a meeting with his peer mentor Diana and they discuss jay's goals, career aspirations and exchange tips and advice. This meeting allowed Jay to understand and reassure himself that this is the career he wants to have in the future.
- As Jay completes his first year he feels a great sense of community engagement due to the mentor program which has made him many friends and even allowed him to help and give advice to other grad students in the community.
