- Once, there was a riveter named Ian Nicol who began to split in two. It started with a bald spot on his head that looked like a face. Concerned, he visited a doctor who recommended a specialist. The specialist revealed Ian was literally splitting in half and he recommended that Ian go to the hospital to complete the process.

- I'm the real one!
- In the hospital, Ian ate and drank a lot—almost enough to feed three men—for a few days, and soon, he fell into a deep sleep. Eventually, two Ian Nicols emerged from the bed, and as soon as they were both healthy, each clamied ownership of everything: their name, clothes, birth certificate, and even their wife!

- When they left the hospital, they took each other to court over their identities, and the case was resolved when one of them was found to have no belly button! The second Ian then decided to change his name to Macbeth and even now, they still write to each other. They both now have bald patches on their heads, reminding them of their unusual adventure.
