- the algebraic adversary???
- Hello Batman, where you're standing, on the third cycle at the ferris wheels top speed, there is a bomb set to go off
- Also if the ride stops, it blows up! bye bye
- Oh shoot! Let me calculate the AROC of the ferris wheel to see if it is a safe speed for people to jump off
- The average rate of change is -2/3 meters per second, this is slow enough for people to jump when the ferris wheel reaches the bottom
- Now that all those people have jumped off, let me calculate at which point it will blow up at
- The fastest speed will be at the steepest point. At the steepest point the instantaneous rate of change is approximately -1.047 meters per second
- Now that I know where and how fast it is going to be when it blows up I can use my gadgets to stop it
