The mountains goats have now produced offspring passing down traits to help them survive in the rocky terrain
A population of goats live here in the valley of mountains.#160;
Moments later a flood occurs causing some of the goats to flee to the mountains, and others to flee to a nearby meadow.
These goats have now adapted to the mountains. Their fur became thicker due to cooler temperatures and it became darker colors to blend into their surroundings. These goats have also had a genetic mutation occur to their hooves for better balance in the rocky mountains
When the two species of goats meet again they are no longer the same. They make similar, but they have different traits now and different genetic mutations to help them survive in their own environments.
These goats have adapted to the meadow. They have lighter colored fur that is thinner because of warmer temperatures. These goats didn't have a genetic mutation occur to their hooves because they don't need constant balance like the mountain goats.
The meadow goats have now produced offspring passing down traits for their offspring to survive in this environment
