Eden Park was a colored neighborhood adjacent to several black townships on the East Rand. Half-colored and half-black. We also ended up getting a car right after we moved. My mom always believed that I should get everything she never had so she would find places for us to go. On Sunday after church, we'd go for drives and have a picnic. We had to eat baloney, brown bread and margarine for our picnic.

One day in Eden Park, I once beat up a colored kid who is bullying Trevor and threatens to kill the mans father. This made Trevor realize that I was genuinely dangerous.
I eventually moved out of the house to get away from Abel because he started being viciously beat by both me and my mother Patricia. Abel tries to apologize, convincing our family to take him back

I eventually moved out in the shed in the backyard to get away from Abel, but I was afraid to leave because I thought he was going to kill me. I end up meeting someone else and did leave.
When my mother met someone else, Abel tries to shoot her in the head. She survived but Abel turns himself in and gets off with no prison time.
The police never took me seriously when I would report the previous beatings, so Abel had no criminal record, and he convinced the court he needed to be free to support his children
