In this scene, Odysseus gets curious and decides to go into the cave even though they don't want to. They saw that Cyclops had a bunch of hanging and wanted to go and steal it and make a run for it.

In this scene, the cyclops wakes up and finds out there are men in his cave, which makes him angry. So he eats two of his men. Odysseys then lies about his ship being broken because he doesn't want the Cyclops to mess with it and protect his men.
