God was angry with humans because they created chaos. He told Noah that he was going to flood the earth to rid the world of Humans. God said He would send the flood waters seven days from now, for forty days and forty nights.
I'm going to put an end to all humans, for the world is filled with violence because of them(Genisis:7, Lines 4-5).
God instructed that Noah was to construct a covenant, and aboard that covenant he shall bring two of every animal, along with Noah's family. God said that every other creature shall perish. He also instructed Noah to get one of every kind of food and store it on the ship to be food for those aboard.
Noah believed that finding and following God was the way to true happiness. So when the floods came, he followed God's instructionsand loaded his family along with two of every animal into the ark. He put the cover over the ark and prepared for the floods. Noah had turned 600 the day that the floods started.
On that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened (Genisis:7 , 11-12).The floods caused the ark to rise high above the earth and up to the heavens.
God let the floods flow for 150 days. The floods covered the entire earth and killed every living thing, just as He had planned. By the 150th day the ark sat atop Mt. Ararat over 17,000 feet.
Remembering Noah aboard his ark and the promise He made to him, God lowered the waters and dried up the flood.
