Rising action
As Steve Brand washes his car outside, a meteor goes flying by the neighborhood. A woman tries to use the phone in her house, nothing happens. All the lights go out, and it seems like all electricity to the street has been cut off.
Climax
As everyone is standing in the street, trying to figure out what just happened, a child suggests the idea of aliens. He says that in the stories, they send someone out of town to get help.
Falling action
In the middle of all this talk, Steve's car starts up. As the car starts up, everyone is left surprised, but also suspecting Steve to have caused this whole thing. They thought this because Steve's car started up on its own, and that was very unusual, like everything else that happened.
Resolution
. Soon, the mob brings up how someone else had been staying up late on nights, working on a project in his basement, and suspecting that Steve may not be the only one causing this
Steve claims that he was working on a radio in his basement at night, and the mod claims that Steve build a radio. and called the aliens and told them to do this.
As the power flicks on and off, a hunk of metal that looks like a rocket hits the ground. 2 Aliens get out, and start talking about how How the pattern is always the same. This is implying that the aliens are the ones that caused the trouble with the power.
