Hamlet and Ophelia meet up as Cornelius and Gertrude hide behind the curtain. Hamlet delivers his speech "To be or not to be, that is the question". Ophelia tries to give his love letters back and he gets angry at her and tells her to leave.
Claudius believes that Hamlet is tormented. He is going to send Hamlet on a mission to England. Polonius suggests that Claudius and Gertrude arrange a private interview with Hamlet after the play.
There is a play that shows Claudius killing Old King Hamlet. Claudius gets angry and asks for the play to stop. Hamlet knows that Claudius killed his father because of his behavior.
Polonius tells Hamlet he is going to meet with his mother. He leaves and Claudius is alone. He is praying because of what he has done to KIng Hamlet. Hamlet enters and sees Claudius praying and decides he can't kill him because he is not sinning.
Polonius hides behind Gertrude's curtain. Gertrude tries to be firm with Hamlet but he says she has sinned by marrying her husbands brother. Gertrude is freighted and calls out for help. Polonius cries out and Hamlet thinks it is Claudius and stabs Polonius through the curtain.
Hamlet continues to tell his mom how wrong she is for marrying Claudius. He berates her and then King Hamlet appears to Hamlet and tells him to stop being cruel to his mother. Hamlet drags Polonius's body out.
