The Battle of Stalingrad
We can't fight much longer!
The Battle of Stalingrad happened from August 23, 1942, to February 2 , 1943. It was one of the biggest fights in World War II between Russian and German soldiers, with each side having over a million troops and lots of weapons. The battle was deadly, with around 750,000 German and 500,000 Russian casualties. In the end, the Germans gave up because they were running out of food and they couldn't keep fighting the Russians.

D-Day

The Battle of D-Day started on June 6, 1944, and went on until July 24, 1944. All the Allied forces worked together to take back Normandy from the Germans. There were more than 150,000 Allied troops. They successfully landed on the beach that day and went on to free France by capturing Paris. This helped the Allies win WWII.

The Battle of Midway
The Battle of Midway started June 4, 1942, and ended on June 7, 1942. The United States fought against Japan. Midway was located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and was very important for military strategy. Even though there were fewer American soldiers, they intercepted a message that revealed Japan's plans, giving them an advantage. The Americans won the Battle, destroying four Japanese aircraft carriers while only losing one of their own. This was a big victory for the Americans
