- Jing-Mei's mother lived in China, then a war happened and she lost everything including her 4 children. Then she started a new in San Francisco and had Jing-Mei. When she was growing up they would see Shirley Temple in TV and her mother is trying to make her this prodigy child.
- Climax
- Her mother was training her, testing her, and giving her this new look.
- Falling Action
- She a had recital which ended up as a disaster and all that her mother could do is was give her disappointed face. Jing-Mi also made herself disappointed and didn't want to do this anymore.
- Resoultion
- When she confronted her mom and they this had argument about her telling her mom that she didn't want to do this anymore. Then the argument ended with Jing-Mei saying that she wishes that she was dead like her past siblings and her mother was shock.
- After that discussion Jing-Mei was free she could whatever she want but her mother in the other hand was trying to understand step by step on what she did wrong and letting Jing-Mei having her freedom
- On her 30th birthday her mother gave her a piano and her mother noticed that the songs that she use to practice called the Bleeding Child and Perfectly Contented were two halfs that arfe the same but split differently.
