- Let’s come up with three options and evaluate each positive and negative consequence that comes with each
- Yes let’s do that! How about the options are 1. We go to the pool party and take Molly 2. We go to the pool party and don’t take Molly 3. We stay home and having a relaxing night and go to the movies
- For option 1, the positive consequence could be we have an amazing time on Molly and have a night to remember and the negative consequence could be that there is a lot of noise going on which disrupts the neighbors and they call the cops which ends up with Jake’s parents getting in a lot of trouble as well as all the kids parents getting called and all the football boys that were at the party get cut from the team and some lose scholarships
- For option 2, the positive consequence could be we enjoy spending time with friends at the pool party and show off some pretty cool flips into the pool and the negative consequence could be that someone has a bad experience while on Molly and freaks out and it ruins her whole night as well as others. Jake has to get his mom involved and the girl's parents get called and they freak out and call Jake’s mom irresponsible and threaten to call the cops.
- For option 3, the positive consequence could be we have a nice and relaxing night with friends and see a good movie and the negative consequence could be that everyone is bragging about how fun it was at Jake’s pool party
- I need to think about my personal internal and external values for myself. Do I have a desire to do Molly? Is Jake’s pool party with all those people the best place to do Molly? I need to think about these factors
- I agree. This is a good decision because it keeps us out of trouble and we can have a stress free night with the four of us
- Okay sweet, I am going to buy the movie tickets and snacks for tomorrow!
