- Thomas was jsut an 18 year old boy when the war was going on. he had heard about the war and wanted to fight for his rights, but his mom would't dare to let her son die, so he did nothing but watch as his friends died trying.
- Preparing for the battle
- We need you to come fight in the batte of new york
- One day he was in curch with his mother until the army came in looking for men to jion the fight some left but thomas mom didn't let thomas go. Thomas stayed sitting down while the others let. Unill thomas had enough and got up and left.
- The walk ahead
- After he caught up with the other men that joined the army, he was then lead to a camp where he would train and soon fight in the battle of long island.
- The Battle of long island
- After a couple of months of training in the army and in the middle of target practice with his rifle, he was later asked to march with the rest of his troops to defeat the red coat in new york
- As Thomas was marching to new york the plan was being gone over. The plan was to defeat the britsh and keep the ships in the harbor to free the prisoiners the red coats have taken onto their ships.
- After defeating the red coats and taking back new york and freeing the prisioners...Thomas felt pround for fighting for his rights and continued on fighing in more wars to get his rights and independence from the birish.
