In the 1600 - 1800's, slaves where considered a commodity to be bought and sold.
Testo Storyboard
- Slaves worked through all kinds of weather.
- Through rain, sun or snow, I have no choice but to work those fields.
- Sometimes, slaves had a long walk to the fields they had to work.
- Boy! It's a long walk to those fields!!
- Cotton was just one kind of crop slaves worked on.
- Picking cotton hurts! They are so prickly!!
- Wheat was another.
- This is a whole lot easier to pick the cotton. Although, these leaves con cut!!
- As the years passed, some slaves were able to be considered free.
- Yay! We are FINALLY free!!
- Some slaves where even able to get their own plot of land.
- We finally have our own home!
