- Mr.White and his son are playing chess while waiting for Seargent-Major Morris.
- Climax
- How much?
- Seargent-Major Morris was going to burn a monkey's paw with 3 wishes but Mr.White stopped him and kept the paw for himself. Sergeant-Major Morris warned Mr.White that there are consequences along with the 3 wishes.
- Falling action
- "I wish Herbert came back".
- Yes!Wish.Wish!!
- As soon as Sergeant-Major Morris left, Herbert Mr. White's son, suggested that his dad wishes for 200 pounds. So Mr. White did just that.
- Resolution
- Herbert?!!! :(
- The next day someone from Herbert's work went to Herbert's house and told Mr. and Mrs. White that Herbert was caught in the machinery and gave them 200 pounds for Herbert's services.
- 200 pounds.
- Mrs. White came up with the idea to wish Herbert back, Mr.White wished for Herbert to be back but he knew that when he gets back Herbert won't look the same. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
- Mrs.White hurried to open the door for Herbert but meanwhile, Mr. White was wishing for Herbert to be gone so when Mrs. White opened the door no one was there.
