- As Macbeth is speaking to the ghost in front of all his attendants, Lady Macbeth is trying to tell all the guests that Macbeth sees visions and his actions should be ignored and they should continue with the feast.

- Due to Macbeths actions Lady Macbeth approaches him and questions his manhood. She is not happy with his behavior and Macbeth responds by telling his guest “I have a strange infirmity which is nothing to those that know me” (3.4.85-86) And Macbeth offers a toast to his guests. When he offers the toast Banquo's ghost appears and any plan he had went down the drain.

- Macbeths guest became more frightened and confused after his outburst before he was supposed to give a toast. Lady Macbeth escorted everyone out of the castle. Macbeth said that he would return to the witches the next day in which Lady Macbeth told him it was time for him to go to bed.
