- The plot of my comic is a woman going to vote and being denied. The shorter comic is a colored woman telling her child that she was going to vote, but being discouraged from voting. I did these plots, because these are real scenarios that have happened. Even after the passage of the 19th amendment, colored women were discouraged to vote. It took many years before women gained all civil rights as men. Although, there are still some people today who discriminate against women, America has came a long way in accepting and treating everyone equally.
- This relates to the 19th amendment by displaying how the women struggled before the 19th amendment was passed. Although, the 19th amendment didn't immediately apply to colored women. Gradually, every women gained equal rights as men.
- No! You shouldn't vote, you'll just guess, not knowing the consequences!
