Testo Storyboard
- A knight is brought before his queen for the assault of a maiden. The queen is unforgiving, but will spare him under one condition.
- If the knight can answer the question of what all women desire in a year and a day, he will not be excecuted.
- The knight searches for the answer by asking the townspeople, but always gets a different answer. He comes across a group of young women. He approaches to see if they know the answer.
- He instead comes across an old woman. Desperate for the answer he asks her. The woman says she will give him the answer if he will do what she asks of him in the future. The knight agrees.
- The knight then comes to court and gives the answer. With the queen agreeing, he is spared. However, the old woman asks him to marry her. The knight refuses but is forced to say yes by the queen. Before the wedding, the knight tells th woman how repulsed he is by her.
- The hideous old woman then transforms into a beautiful young lady, much to the knight's surprise.
- The woman gives the knight two options: either marry an old faithful wife, or a young unfaithful wife. The knight complies saying he will do whatever the woman chooses.
