- Jamie and his uncle live together in a cabin in the north of canada and jamie uncles friends from an indian tribe. The dad needed help from angus (jamie's uncle) at the crees. The boy, awasin was told to stay here with jamie.

- They were there alone at the cabin with awasins obese mother working from dusk until dawn and then had dinner. after dinner someone knocked on the door. It was the chipeweyans. They needed help hunting caribou because they had no money to buy ammunition and needed someone they wouldn't be able to feed their people. so they went back to the lake taking awasin and jamie with them and they were ready for the deer hunt
- falling action
- The boys got let behind by everyone else and had to survive on their own. They were still on their quest to find the deer herds and kept traveling even when it was just the two of them. They went to this cabin and found ancient viking sword and other belongings. Everyday they kept going. Finally, they found it. There were heards of deer all over the place. when they hunted some deer, they shot one of the parents babies, now the baby folowing them wherever they go. After finding out that their hunting crew was heading back. it was almost winter, and they had a long way to go.
- resolution
- The boys so far have gone on a giant journey coming back and found denzikai's extra deer carcasses on their way meaning they are getting closer towards the hunting group. They both have ended up at a abandoned cabin in the wild. And they are staying the night. But, in the morning, a giant wind and snow storm kicks up and they are trapped inside for the time being, Will they survive in suck conditions?
