The colonists were angered about the tax and there were many mobs throughout the colonies. The sons of liberty took to boston where they protested against the stamp act.
The sons of liberty went around Boston with a statue of Andrew Oliver, the distributor of stamps in Boston. They hanged it and decapitated it before ransacking his home. Oliver then decided to stop distributing the stamps
