- Charles l was unpopular because he believed in the divine right of kings. Also the parliament passed a petition of right and Charles followed it at first then ignored it. Furthermore, Charles 1 tried to impose more ritual on the church of England.

- Many people in England complained about Charles and in 1642 it ended up causing a Civil War. The fight was between the parliamentary forces which were called the Roundheads and the people who support Charles 1 which were called Cavaliers or the Royalists. They are fighting because the parliament wants to put limits to the king and Charles just wants to be free with no limits/restrictions.

- On January 30, 1649, parliament had Charles l executed. Charles l was executed because he would not follow any of the parliaments rules and would do what he wanted so they wanted to take control and put a stop to it.

- The Restoration of the Stuart monarchy is known as the Restoration period. Charles ll had tons of ideas that many of the English people did not like. He did not care he just wanted to do what he wanted kind of like Charles 1.

- A group of novels had invited William to go and invade England. William began planning for the invasion to England in early 1688. William forced landed at Toraby and they all headed towards London. James had sent some of his army. Then retreated to London and he made his wife and son leave for France. He later on went with them. There was almost no bloodshed and England had undergone a Glorious Revolution. To add, the parliament offered the Throne o Mary and William and they said yes ad accepted the Bill of Rights.

- The English Bill of Rights had helped create system of government. To add, it helps the Parliament able to make laws and to levy taxes. Also the Bill of Rights made it to where the Kings wont be able to ignore the parliament since they have the most authority over them. A few more main points of the Bill of Rights is that cruel punishments are banned, people have the right to a jury, and elections of members of parliament should be free.
