Charli Siggers Fever 1793

Fever 1793 is about a girl named Mattie who lived through yellow fever. The best part for me was when Mattie and Nathaniel hung out together after the fever. Mattie asks Eliza if she can go to market, and Eliza says Mattie doesn’t need her permission. When she arrives, she asks people if they know where Mother is. She went to get some food, and someone grabbed her elbow. It was Nathaniel. He hoped he’d find her there. They walked around the market and then started hanging out together. This part is important because it shows the connection between Mattie and Nathaniel. This also indicates the beginning of things going back to normal for them.
