Testo Storyboard

  • Hello there! Here at my house, we will discuss the three states of matter here in our kitchen with my kids.
  • The first one is solid and an example of it is ice. Can you tell us more about Solid, Father?
  • Particles in solids are more compact and they vibrate in their fixed position.
  • Second is liquid, and an example of it is the water in this bottle. Can you tell us more about liquid? Father
  • Particles in a liquid are further apart and they can easily move or slide past one another.
  • Particles in a gas are well separated and moves quickly
  • Solids have high density because molecules are very close to each other, held together by strong intermolecular forces. Particles in solids vibrate but still keep their shape.
  • Thanks, kids, for helping me discuss the Three States of Matter.
  • We hope you guys learn a lot from these simple explanations.
  • Liquids have a fixed volume but no fixed shape because they change shape when poured into a different container. The intermolecular forces of attraction are weaker than those of solids.
  • Bye! That's all for today. Thanks until next time.
  • The liquid that evaporates or steam is a gas. Gases have a low density unless compressed. They occupy far more space. The energy in a gas is greater because the molecules are freely moving around.
  • Third is gas. An example of it is the evaporation happening in a boiling liquid. Can you explain gas, brother?
