Are you scared?
In this scene Lizabath goes out with her friends and the ones she has in her neighborhood. They all meet up and talk about throwing rocks at miss lotties flowers.
The problem
In the 1st rising action scene Lizabath and her friends go to miss Lottie's house and they end up throwing rocks and damaging the flowers which miss Lottie worked hard to grow.
Regret
Lizabeth's brother Joey influenced her into throwing the rocks at miss Lottie's house by asking her if she was scared to do it.
Realization
In this scene Lizabeth's parents get into a argument and this leads to her dad threatening to leave. He says he isn't making enough money and that he is taking their food.
In this part Lizabath regrets what she did and comes to realization that miss Lottie just wanted to have something that was beautiful in the old raggedy town and something to look forward too. This is when she lost her innocence
Lizabath feels compassion towards miss lottie. She start to feel compassion towards others. She realizes one cannot have both compassion and innocence (Collier 148)
