- Your Mummy, Sonia, moved into Bexley in January 2023. You were in Mummy's tummy at the time! Mummy lived with some other women and their children in a big house in Bexley. Before moving to Bexley, Mummy was in a relationship that didn't make her happy and her partner didn't treat her nicely.
- Emily and Moyo worked with your Mummy whilst she was still pregnant with you. They were worried that during pregnancy, there were a few times that Mummy took drugs. Emily and Moyo's job is to make sure children are safe with their parents.
- You were born on 17.07.2023 at Darent Valley Hospital - you were a happy, healthy baby and Mummy loved you very very much. Mummy decided to call you Alaya.
- Given the worries that Emily, Moyo and their colleagues had about Mummy using drugs whilst pregnant with you, they went to Court and asked a Judge to decide where you should live.
- The Judge decided that when you and Mummy left hospital, you should go to live with Mummy's old foster carer, Sharon. Sharon was going to support you and Mummy to make sure you were safe and well. The Judge made you subject to an Interim Care Order which means you will get support as a Looked After Child
- Now that you are a Looked After Child, you will have a new social worker from the Looked After Children's Service. They will visit you and Mummy regularly to make sure you are both happy and safe.
