Following the horrific incident Star made it a mission to use her voice and really live up to her name.
Star and her childhood friend Khalil were enjoying a neighborhood party when they realized someone let off gunshots. They left as soon as they could, and Khalil offered to take her home.
LETS GET OUT OF HERE!
After leaving the party, Khalil and Star were unexpectedly pulled over by a police officer. Star remembered her father's instructions very clearly.
After stepping out of the car, Khalil looked back in the car making sure Star was okay. He also reached for a hairbrush, but the cop thought otherwise. He was shot and killed on the spot.
