Dialogue #2

Testo Storyboard

  • Jeez, I thought you were going to keep an eye out instead of sleeping.
  • The radio is up and running!
  • Harry?! Harry?! Wake Up!
  • They both sat in silence as Harry tried to process what John said.
  • John banged on the back of Harry's part of the cockpit and Harry woke up suddenly.
  • Well I was, but... never mind that, what news do you have?
  • Oh... Great!
  • Yeah! John! What?
  • Silence... again.
  • Well, this is a bit awkward. Have any transmissions come through?
  • Can we improve it? It might become our only chance of rescue.
  • I didn't need the sarcasm. Just an answer
  • What is it? What are they saying?
  • I have a connection on ###.##, but it's too weak to send out a message with certainty of it being picked up.
  • Wait... hold on... I am getting something on another channel; it's hard to pick out.
  • Yeah, sure. Let me just open the cockpit, that might help with our connections.
  • Just stay quiet for a moment, okay?
  • Attention ########, respond! Attention ########, respond! Over!
  • YES! (faint) Sir! We found them! (clear) Alright, we are aware of your location and we will send rescue personnel to help you. Over!
  • Okay! Our ETA is estimated to be 5 hours. Let us know if that is too late. Over!
  • John played with the radio for a good two minutes before responding.
  • There was no sound except for the ocean around them as the other end got off the radio
  • John's cockpit
  • This is ########, we are listening. Over!
  • That is alright! Over!
  • We are ready, please proceed. Over!
  • Great! We'll be out of here in no time.
  • Well? Any thing?
  • Great! What's the ETA?
  • Harry looked to his right to see that a hole had somehow been punctured through the bottom of his windshield. It was previously self-contained and was just noticeable now.
  • However, right as Harry finished saying that, he began to feel water spray onto his knee.
  • He began to shuffle around looking for anything that could plug the hole and stay there, under pressure, for 5 hours.
  • About 5 hours.
  • What is that?!
  • Yeah, they know our location now and have sent rescue personnel!
  • It was no joke to say that he was looking hard for a while.
  • Is it too big to plug?
  • Why?
  • Where is it seeping through?
  • The plug will work, but it won't hold.
  • Hey John, I need your engineering skills here. There is water in my cockpit.
  • No, and it is partially self maintained. It will grow over time, unless I plug it. Except, I can't plug it.
  • Through the windshield.
  • What do you have in the cockpit?
  • In 10 minutes, Harry had a pole that was strong enough to hold the plug in place for the 5 hours needed.
  • Tape, paper, a camera, and shards of glass.
  • Perfect! Okay, here is what you do:
  • You would be dead. Don't you remember ### ##### ####.
  • John talked him through measuring the steel rods, the joints, and the tape. He talked him through the process of applying the force from the hole onto the other side of the windshield.
  • That's right! Know I owe you more!
  • Oh, I also have two steel rods and attachable joints for them.
  • Great job John! I don't know what I would do without you!
