- No you dirty hobo! Get a job!

- Rising Action
- Don't worry, I'll get the job and we'll have an even larger house.
- You need to get this job, or else we won't be able to afford the house and take care of the kids!
- Climax
- I will not accept you for this job no matter how qualified you are! I was the hobo that you degraded yesterday!
- But if you don't then I'll lose my house and my family will leave me. I'm sorry for what I've done, please forgive me and allow me to work for you.
- Oedipus is walking home from work (a job that doesn’t pay well) and plans to interview for a new job (a well-paying one) the next day. With this new job, Oedipus would be able to finally support his family and pay off his mortgage. He sees a homeless man asking for money. Oedipus has no patience for the man and yells at him. The hobo then tells him, "you won't get the job that you're looking for and punishment will come".
- Falling Action
- I'm leaving you and I'm taking the baby too. You're a deadbeat.
- Oedipus arrives home to his wife, Jocasta, telling him he needs this new job he is interviewing for. He assures Jocasta that he will get the job and provide for the family better.
- Resolution
- Oedipus finds out that the man interviewing him, the CEO, was the hobo he turned down the other day and who gave him the mysterious message. It was a test he failed. Oedipus pleads to the CEO for the job; he states his situation. The CEO hears none of it.
- The End
- Hic finis fabulae est.
- After Oedipus's wife finds out, she yells at him and tells him that she will file for a divorce. They both know that she will be awarded custody of their children. Oedipus kneels on the floor and cries, wishing he could change his fate.
