- Halku was a poor tenant farmer surrounded by debt traps But he is a self respect man and always have Dignity .He saved three rupees for buying a blanket to save himself from the cold January Nights.
- Munni is the wife of Halku. She knew that Tenant farming is killing the Halku and she advised him to give up the tenant farming so that they can save some money to pay debts and also have some money to feed themselves.
- if they had given the 3 rupees then Halku would not have any money to buy the blanket to protect himself from the intense cold outside save the field from wild animals
- You need pay the rent now !
- Halku had determined to pay the rent to the landlord.
- I will build you a straw so You won't feel the cold. Hold Jabra tightly without minding smell of Jabra.
