- Even as a kid, I loved being creative and working hard. In 6th grade I was hired by my newspaper to be a kid reporter. I had so much fun interviewing celebrities and seeing my "Colorado Kids" articles published! I didn't have so many friends, so I mostly hung out with my mom and wrote!
- Common, Chelly! You've been at that computer for hours. Let's go to the mall and get french fries before dance class! We'll listen to the soundtrack from "Joseph the Amazing Technicolored Dream Coat" on the way!

- When I *grow up* I would love to become a published author. I would love to write all about my adventures teaching overseas and turn them into a series of cozy mysteries. Then, I'd love to become a mentor for other writers, too!
