They get the Anesthesia kicking in just in case he wakes up so he doesn't feel the pain. The surgeon begins cutting very slowly and gently they find the broken off piece of his skull remove it and stitch him back up the process taking round 3 hours.
They take him off the medicine bring his mom back in and get him bandaged up. The mom and doctor sit in there for about 45 mins and soon after that... HE WAKES UP! The mom is so happy she is about to cry and the craziest part is about 15 minutes later they discover that he has no amnesia and will remember everything except the fall and when he was unconscious. He is still a little obscure about everything but it will wear off shortly . He slowly wakes up and stays there the next few nights to make sure he is ok.
They were SO happy and he has recovered from all the meds but he will be a little decrepit for a couple months and need to relax but he should be back on the court in a few months. They go out to their favorite ice cream place and enjoy eachother and their ice cream and think about how lucky he is to be ok. He can't wait to get back home to his bed and dog.
