There once was a mortal, her name was Acantha. Everyone thought she was the most beautiful woman in all of ancient Greece. This of course upset Aphrodite the goddess of beauty. Acantha, however, didn't think she was beautiful. She never wanted to upset Aphrodite.
How dare you try and match my beauty?!
P-please, Aphrodite, I'm not beautiful! I just want to be a normal person!
Hahaha! You will pay for your insolence with your beauty! No one will think you're beautiful ever again!
Don't worry, Acantha. I won't hurt you. However, you will be punished for all eternity!
Aphrodite had to get revenge on Acantha. She was filled with rage and fire. People were worshiping Acantha now and she missed the attention.

Aphrodite is known for her cruel punishment for people who were a threat to her title as the most beautiful woman.

And so, the deed was done. Aphrodite was horrified with her monstrous creation.

Aphrodite got back to the heavens as fast as she could to get help before this monster that she created destroyed everything in sight.

Artemis! Thank the gods you're here! I need help! I did something terrible!
Back on Mount Olympus, Aphrodite sought help from someone she knew could help.
