- About ten months ago...
- I can use my position to get back at Sarah, it will just take time...
- On a rainy night, Molly Turner was driving home from work as the assistant to Daniel McDonald Sr. at Borrelli Britton Medical, when drunk 16-year-old Daniel McDonald Jr. crashed into her. Molly died on impact, but Daniel Jr. made it out with only a few broken bones and a rescinded scholarship to Pepperdine.
- He seems nice!
- Hey! Do you know any good places to eat around here?
- The loss of Molly was mourned by her parents, Aidan and Christi Harkirk, as well as her husband Mark Turner. They all blamed Daniel McDonald for her loss.
- Our funding for the low-income program has been steadily declining, we might have to shut it down.
- After getting beat out for a job at Borrelli Britton Medical by his sister, James Stothers got a job at St. Martin's Hospital.
- My knee has been really bothering me lately..
- Three months later, Mark and Aidan began hatching a plan to get back at Daniel McDonald, CEO of Borrelli Britton Medical. The first step was for Mark to befriend Sarah Stothers, the CISO of Borrelli Britton Medical.
- Hey! My name is Sarah, what are you doing around here?
- Sarah and Daniel McDonald Sr. (the CEO) had been meeting about the status of the low-income family fund. They had rapidly been losing donors for the program, but had no idea why.
- No we can't! So many people depend on that program!
- Six months later, Sarah and Mark had become fast friends and she confided in him about almost everything.
- You should go see my doctor! He is really great!
- Sarah, paranoid about security, had noticed a man frequently around her and was worried he was stalking her, so she went to confront him and find out what he was up to. She gave him a number that would allow her to track what he was up to, but she didn't hear from him.

- Hi, my name is Joel. I lost my wife Molly at this hospital...
- The next day, Sarah goes to see Dr. Aidan. He learns that she has a pacemaker, and after a quick call with Mark knows that he needs to inquire about when her next update is. Coincidentally, she has one later that week.
- So I have been having pretty bad pain in my knee under the kneecap.
- Her medical history says she has a pacemaker... We can work with that.
- Mark, almost finished with his firmware, now was working on uploading it to the FTP server that would then be used to download the firmware onto Sarah's pacemaker.

- Hey Sarah, its's Joel. Want to get coffee?
- Sounds great. See you then.

- Sure! Does 11:00 work at the Starbucks on the corner?
- Two days later, Sarah got a message from Joel and began tracking his IP address.
- Back at the hospital...
- System Secure
- At 11:00, instead of going to Starbucks, Sarah tracked down where Joel's phone had been transmitting from and went to check it out.
- I'm sorry Sarah... It had to be you...
- Don't worry we will take care of you Sarah.
- She found pictures of her, of Mark, Daniel's old assistant - Molly, who appears to be Mark's wife, who apparently was killed... Putting together the pieces, she realized her hospital might be in jeopardy. But then she saw her brother on the map and his new job at St. Martin's hospital and the loss of funding all made sense.
- Borrelli Britton Medical
- She needed to secure the hospital in case there was going to be an attack, she uploaded decoy files for the attackers to find. But she had to get to the bottom of her brother stealing their funds.
- When going to meet up with Mark the next morning, Sarah felt a jolt and then collapsed. Luckily Mark had already called 911. She was thankful Mark was there, what she didn't know was he was the one who caused her cardiac arrest.
- Zap!
- Meanwhile at Borrelli Britton Medical... Aidan sent a phishing email that Vicky (a new intern at Borrelli Britton) opened which planted a malware attack and started downloading patient files. Little does he know, he is only finding the fake files Sarah placed for him.
- Through the attack that he had designed for Aidan, he was able to access the patient files that were on the could and download them. He needed them to sell on the dark web to make money to support his family. He got called back to St. Martin's, apparently Sarah was waking up.
- Downloading...
- Patient files at $50 a piece, I should be able to afford a new in home nurse for Matthew until I find a job...
- With Mark back in St Martin's hospital, she knew what she had to do. Now knowing what Mark would do for Molly, she knew how to pull his strings. Sarah labeled a flashdrive 'Molly and Me' and gave it to Mark.
- He would do anything for Molly...
- Mark, there is something I never told you...I knew Molly before she died and she gave me this..
- Curiosity overcame him and Mark had to know what was on the flash drive, he found the closest computer and opened the file, and he found pictures of Molly. The pictures downloaded a stagnant malware attack on SMH.
- Matthew, I know what you did. I have access to expose all the patient files at St. Martin's right now. Make sure our funders come back to Borrelli Britton. I don't want to harm anyone because of what you've done, but if you don't fix this, all your patient files are going public.

- With the threat of an attack, Sarah contacted her brother to send back the low-income family fund donors. She knew he had poached them, and she wanted to protect her patients. She didn't want it do come at the cost if anyone else, and she was hoping her threat would be enough to make him fix what he had done.
- St. Martin's Hospital
- Aidan went on, blissfully ignorant, thinking he had avenged his daughter's death by showing Daniel that even at the top, things can be taken from you.
- Borrelli Britton Medical
- Mark got $65,000 from selling the patient files and was able to keep Mary and Matthew happy and healthy. Daniel Sr. asked Sarah to see of anyone had put the decoy for sale. When she found them, she told Daniel, and he knew what Mark was trying to do. Daniel wanted to be able to help Mark's family, he too cared for Molly, so he bought the decoy files, but Mark would never know.
- James did resond to the threat, and went to each donor that he had poached persuading them to return to Borrelli Britton for funding. St. Martin's Hospital, with James fired, was able to operate with Borrelli Britton so they could both succeed.
- With James' help, the low-income program was flourishing and they had more funding than ever.
- Sarah had her pacemaker updated with the correct firmware update and was able to make sure the hospital was as secure as possible.
