- Are you ready for a trip through time? Today we’re taking you to Ancient Egypt.
- More than 2000 years ago. The age of the great pharaohs.
- I am the Queen of Egypt Cleopatra. Artists, painters and sculptors have made works inspired by me. I speak seven languages and I’m known for my beauty all over the world. I was the last pharaoh of Egypt.
- Wealthy Egyptians and pharaohs bodies were embalmed and perfumed when they died to conserve them for as long as possible and placed in a wooden cask in a pyramid.
- The Nile is the longest River in Africa. It was very important in ancient Egypt. Thanks to the river, people could grow cereals and transport goods and people. This created a natural highway. They used wooden boats for heavy cargo and papyrus boats for light goods.
- In Ancient Egypt doctors treated different diseases, They studied a part of the body, made medicine and had instruments they used in operations.
- Ancient Egyptians were very religious and built magnificent large temples. They worshipped over 1100 gods and goddesses including Ra the sun god and Amun the king of the gods.
