In the story, "Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, Ichabod Crane loves a young woman named Katrina von Tassel. Our story takes place in, a land known to be haunted, Sleepy Hollow.
Ichabod doesn't have trouble being a headmaster, but he does have trouble with love. As he does not know how to win over Katrina von Tassel because of Brom Bones.
Ichabod gets invited to Katrina's party as long with Brom. During the party, people were telling stories of Sleepy Hollow, and it all lead up to the story of the headless horseman. Ichabod had to leave, since he did not want to here these stories any more.
During the party, people were telling tales about the haunted land of Sleepy Hollow. One person told the legend about the headless horseman that had been spotted lately. Ichabod couldn't take it, he had to leave.
While traveling back home, Ichabod encounters a person on a horse. Ichabod saw that he had no head, and he was holding a pumpkin, laughing even without a mouth. Ichabod remembered that crossing the bridge would make the headless horseman stop following you.
In the end, Ichabod didn't have a chance to reach it to the bridge. All that was left of Ichabod was his hat, horse, and a smashed pumpkin. So, if you hear a story, you could believe it, but at the same time you don't need to.
