My friend and her boyfriend have been dating for a few years now. We always hang out together, so I know all of his friends.
I ran into her boyfriend, Max, at a cafe with a girl I've never seen before. I might be overthinking, but I believe they were flirting with each other.
Clearly, Max had lied. I told her that Max was actually at a cafe with a mysterious girl. I apologized if my assumptions were wrong but I told her I was only worried about her.
I didn't mean to be nosy, but I felt the need to tell my friend about Max. I stepped out and called her.
I asked her, Andrea, if she knew what Max was doing right now. She told me that Max was at his doctor's appointment.
Andrea said she was upset with me for not trusting Max after they had been together for so long. I was worried this would cause a fight between us.
She was nearby and told me she would go to the cafe herself and confront Max about the girl he was with.
I had my suspicions about Max but hoped that I was wrong because I didn't want Andrea to be heartbroken.
It turns out I was right to trust my instincts and acted rightfully. Max was on a date with the mysterious girl.
I knew loyalty was a great value of mine and if I wanted to be loyal to my friendship with Andrea, I'd help her in any way.
