- Women were not allowed to fly planes in the 1910's. Lots of the women were very upset. Men thought women weren't strong or smart enough to fly the planes.
- Women had to fly over to Europe to learn how to fly and get their pilots licences. This caused people to protest about women's rights.
- Harriet Quimby was the first woman to get her flying license in the US. She is a great role model for all aviators today and past.
