- Hindus actually only believe in one God, Brahman, the eternal origin who is the cause and foundation of all existence. The gods of the Hindu faith represent different forms of Brahman. These gods are sent to help people find the universal God (Brahman). Most Hindus have a personal god or godess such as Shiva, Krishna or Lakshmi to whom they pray regularly. The three most important Hindu gods (forms of Brahman) are: Brahma - known as the Creator. Vishnu - Known as the Preserver Shiva (Siva)- known as the Destroyer. Other Hindu gods include: Saraswathi - Goddess of Wisdom - Wife of Lord Brahma. Saraswathi is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music and all the creative arts. Lakshmi - Goddess of Wealth - Wife of Lord Vishnu. Lakshmi is the goddess of light, beauty, good fortune and wealth. Parvati - regarded as a representation of Shakti. Parvati is the wife of Lord Shiva and the Godess of household and motherhood. (Shakti is by literal definition sacred force, power, or energy. Shakti is the personnification of Brahman as feminine) Ganesha - Son of Shiva and Parvati. - Guru Nanaks bursdag feires av sikher for å hedre grunnleggeren av sikhismen. Det er den viktigste høytiden og faller rundt oktober eller november. Guru Granth Sahib er dekorert med blomster og båret gjennom gatene av fem menn. Sikher deltar på tjenester og langar på gurdwaras, ber og feirer sammen.
- Vaisakhi, eller Baisakhi, er Sikh nyttårsfestival og en av de viktigste høytidene. Det er starten på Punjabi nyttår og feirer 1699 - året da sikhismen ble født som en kollektiv tro. Det feires vanligvis midten av april. Det er også en vårhøstfestival. Det feires med bønner, prosesjoner og heising av Nishan Sahib -flagget

- Hola Mohalla er en årlig festival i februar eller mars hvor sikher holde konkurranser i friidrett, horsemanship og kampsport. Det er i nærheten og sammenfaller noen ganger med den hinduistiske festivalen Holi og inkluderer også sprøyting av farget pulver. Det betyr "spotskamp" og det ærer å kjempe mot religiøs forfølgelse.
- Feirer dagen i 1619 da Guru Hargobind ble løslatt fra fengsel sammen med 52 konger som ble fengslet av Mughal keiser Jahangir. Da han ble ønsket velkommen hjem til Amritsar, opplyste tusenvis av lys det gylne tempel. I dag feires det ved å belyse templer og spise søtsaker. Det sammenfaller med den hinduistiske festivalen Diwali.
